Feb. 20, 2003 - Legal issues and practical concerns facing those involved in insurance coverage litigation will be the focus of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s 15th Annual Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee Meeting, March 6-8 at the Westin La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Ariz.

The meeting draws insurance experts from both the policyholder and insurance company sides, including barristers and solicitors from England. Among the featured experts are Justice Randy J. Holland, Delaware Supreme Court; Judge R. Brooke Jackson, Jefferson City District Court, Golden, Colo; and Judge Rya Zobel, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

"This meeting is the premier event of its kind, both in terms of substantive content on important current and emerging insurance coverage issues and strategies, as well as for networking opportunities for lawyers who represent policyholders, insurance companies and insurance brokers,” said Walter Andrews of McLean, Va., co-chair of the committee.

Committee co-chair Lorelie S. Masters, Washington, D.C., added, “Our program chairs, Laura Foggan and Jose Isasi II, have put together an outstanding line-up of programs. We have two centerpiece programs on Saturday morning. The first is our ‘Fifteen-Year Retrospective’ on the practice of insurance coverage litigation and counseling, featuring three distinguished judges and two well-known insurance coverage practitioners from both sides of the aisle. The second will discuss terrorism coverage issues and we are very excited to have New York Superintendent of Insurance Gregory Serio as a panelist.”
