Nursing Home Abuse Team

The Maher, Guiley, and Maher nursing home abuse team is led by partner Steven R. Maher and supported by lawyers Scot Warner, Melissa Powers, John Ksajikian and Bill Artigliere. The firm has won a significant number of nursing home cases where six and seven-figure settlements were awarded to victims of neglect, abuse, or exploitation.

Private investigator Katherine Schepers helps in assessing the many nursing home complaints the firm considers each month, locating witnesses and former employees. Only through aggressive and comprehensive investigations is it possible to accurately determine just how seriously some nursing homes take advantage of their clients, many of whom are the most vulnerable members of our society. Literally hundreds of records, many of which are inconsistent and deliberately falsified, must be carefully reviewed before a case can be made. Bonnie Dantzscher, and ombudsman for the state of California with years of experience in California law and nursing homes, assists the team in championing the rights of elderly victims of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
