Nanotechnology: More Benefits or More Problems?

Nanotechnology is the manufacturing of very little machines, the projected capacity to create things from the bottom up utilizing methods and tools being developed today to build complete products. Products created with help of nanotechnology have economic, ecological, social and inclusive military uses.

This science is growing really fast, and many companies have spent millions of dollars incorporating nanotechnology in their products and systems. Nevertheless different experts have expressed their preoccupation because they say that there are several interactions between nanoparticles and people, which could cause different diseases. They also say that nanoparticles are so tiny that can easily enter the body and affect vital organs such like brain, lungs and even the skin. That is why these experts have told that nanotechnology could cause more problems than benefits.

Also, a study made by the Nanoethics Group demonstrates that nanoparticles are not biodegradable and can cause grave problems to the natural environment. The study showed that nanoparticles are also present in products of domestic use; some of them are pesticides, cosmetics, sunscreens and some food products. The last year the Southern Methodist University also made a study which demonstrated that exposure to nanoparticles may cause grave damages to the brain. Many other different organizations and universities have made studies of the exposure to nanoparticles and all of them show that this situation may cause serious damages to the humans and the environment.

If you or someone that you know have been exposed to nanoparticles and have suffered a damage due to it, contact an attorney and ask him/her about the possibilities to make a claim and be awarded in a lawsuit.
