Matzen has been involved in consultative sales of electronic discovery most of his career.

Matzen has spent the last two years serving as general counsel for an electronic data discovery company in Washington DC. Prior to serving as general counsel, Matzen spent three years as a litigation associate involved in both securities and antitrust class action suits. Matzen has given speeches, presentations, and has been published on a variety of electronic discovery issues. Tom is also active in the Sedona Conference and giving CLE presentations to other lawyers on the use of electronic discovery. Matzen obtained a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh and Bachelor of Arts degrees in International Relations and Political Theory from Michigan State University.
