NAILM Sponsors Seminar to Explore Building Better Relationships Between Defense Counsel and Carriers

Litigation Management Association Sponsors Frank Discussion about two sides of the Tripartite Relation in Insurance Claims Litigation...

(PRWEB) October 15, 2005 -- Fostering the Collaborative Rather than Adversarial Relationship between Claims handlers and Defense Firms in the Tri-Partite Relationship

The National Association of Insurance Litigation Management presents A special Seminar about collaboration and team work in the management of Litigated Insurance Claims.

The relationship amongst the participants in the Insurance litigation management tripartite relationship is, at best, often strained.

Defense counsel feels put
Upon by:
* External bill auditing protocols

* Precarious relationships with their carrier clients
in an era of carrier mergers and consolidation

* Staff counsel initiatives

* Overly- rigorous billing guidelines
To name a few.

Carriers are concerned about:

* Spiraling defense cost

* Inadequate communications

* And a sense that counsels duty to their real
client the insured", inevitably leads to bad
results

These issues have lead to an unfortunate trend
toward the adversarial rather than the collaborative in the relationship between counsel and insurers.

Clearly, the best case scenario for all three parties involved in the tripartite relationship would be toward collaboration and cooperation, rather than bickering and acrimony.

But how do we get there?

Come join the NAILM in an open discussion of these issues and more lead by:
